Mumford Company completes 33rd Hotel sale

Mumford Company recently completed the sale of the Port Wentworth, GA Country Inn and Suites Savannah on behalf of SMS Hotels, Inc. The purchaser, Hayley Sheth Investments, LLC, utilized an SBA 7(a) loan facilitated by a national lender for the acquisition.

The 61 room hotel will undergo renovations as required by the franchisor and retain the Country Inn & Suites brand affiliation. Ideally situated at a popular lodging exit off Interstate I-95, the hotel draws local business and interstate traffic as well as travelers from nearby Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.

This is the 33rd hotel transaction for Mumford Company in 2009. Matt Winston of Mumford Company’s Virginia office and Burton Brooks with the Atlanta office represented the firm in this transaction.
